Almost every bad window treatment we are asked to replace was chosen from a picture. It looked right in a showroom or on a screen, and then it met a real room with a real orientation and a real 3pm.

So we do it the other way round. A consultant comes to your house with the sample books, stands in the room at roughly the hour that bothers you, measures every opening properly, and only then talks about fabric. It is not a complicated idea. It is just the part most people skip.

What we actually make

Roller blinds in blockout, sunscreen and day-night; venetians in timber and aluminium; cellular honeycomb; vertical and panel blinds; concealed blind boxes for renovations and new builds; roller shutters for shading; folding-arm awnings; zip screens; and motorisation across all of it. We also repair blinds — including ones we didn't supply.

We do not make soft fabric fold blinds and we do not fit hinged louvred panels. When somebody asks for those, we say so rather than talk them into something adjacent.

How we quote

In writing, itemised per window. You can see exactly what each opening costs, which means you can drop the guest bathroom and keep the lounge without renegotiating the whole thing. There is no obligation attached to a measure and nobody will phone you five times about it.

Things we will tell you that don't help our invoice

When a cheaper fabric will do the same job in that room.
When your existing blinds are worth repairing rather than replacing.
What an awning will and won't survive in a highveld storm.
When external shading would beat the internal blind you asked for — and when it wouldn't.

Child safety is standard

Every corded or chained blind we fit gets a wall-anchored tensioner, and in nurseries and playrooms we steer you to cordless, wand-tilt or motorised controls with nothing hanging at all. It is on the quote by default, not as an extra you have to know to ask for. More on child-safe blinds.
